Soft grass heads beneath an open pale space
This canvas print shows small oval grass heads on slender stems in the lower part of the image, with a large pale area above.
The fluffy heads stand loosely apart and soften into the distance. A few sharper forms emerge from the beige blur, giving the airy scene gentle points of focus.

Canvas prints – from fabric to finished artwork
An image you love. A woven surface worth a closer look. Discover how cotton canvas, colour and a deep stretcher frame bring artwork to life – and how to choose a print for your space.

- 390 g/m² cotton canvas
- 38 mm deep stretcher frame
- Water-based latex inks
- Ready to hang
01 / Canvas
Canvas with an artist’s feel.
Our canvas prints use substantial cotton canvas weighing 390 g/m². The visible weave adds texture to photographs and artwork, creating a soft, expressive finish. Its semi-matt surface lets you enjoy the image without a sheet of glass in front.
The canvas is stretched over a wooden support. Together, the fabric and frame give the artwork its shape, while the weave becomes part of the image’s character. The back of the canvas has a natural light beige tone. Together with the visible weave, the substantial fabric gives the artwork a distinctive material character.

02 / Support
38 mm deep. A difference you see from the side.
The stretcher frame supports the canvas. Made from solid, finger-jointed wood, our 38 mm deep frame provides a sturdy structure. Its depth creates a defined edge, so the print can be displayed without a decorative outer frame.
The depth of the stretcher frame comes into its own when viewed from the side. Its pronounced profile gives the canvas a more substantial, refined presence on the wall, even without an outer frame. A stretcher frame and a floating frame serve different purposes: the stretcher holds the canvas, while the optional floating frame surrounds the finished artwork.

03 / Printing
Detail and depth with latex printing.
The image is printed with water-based latex inks. The print captures subtle tones and clear contrasts, while the woven surface gives a different finish from paper. The ink is cured during production.
Choose the location carefully: avoid prolonged direct sunlight, damp conditions and heat sources. Room lighting and screen settings can make colours look different on a screen and on canvas.

04 / Decorative frame
With or without an outer frame.
A floating frame leaves a small gap around the canvas, giving it a defined border without glass. Choose black for contrast or an oak finish for a warm wood effect. Frames are optional extras purchased with the artwork; available choices depend on the print and size.
The outer frame is 55 mm deep, which is a separate measurement from the 38 mm stretcher frame. The oak-finish version is made from ayous wood with an oak look. Artwork ordered with a frame arrives assembled.

Choose with the whole room in mind.
Measure the free wall space and compare it with the furniture below. Try marking the intended dimensions with paper or suitable removable tape. A large print creates a single focal point; smaller pieces can form a gallery wall.
Echo the room’s colours or introduce a deliberate contrast. Check the product’s size guide and available formats. If you add an outer frame, allow for its overall dimensions too.

What is a canvas print?
A canvas print is an image printed onto canvas fabric and stretched over a wooden frame. The weave and depth give it a different texture and appearance from a paper print.
What canvas do you use?
We use cotton canvas weighing 390 g/m². This is the fabric’s weight per square metre, not the weight of the finished artwork.
What is the difference between a stretcher and a floating frame?
The stretcher is the wooden support behind the canvas. A floating frame is the decorative outer frame around the stretched artwork.
Learn about floating framesHow deep is the artwork?
The stretcher frame is 38 mm deep. The optional decorative outer frame is 55 mm deep. These are separate parts; the measurements should not be added together.
Do I need an outer frame?
No. The canvas can be hung without one. A floating frame is an optional finishing touch that gives the artwork a more defined border.
Is the oak-finish frame made from solid oak?
No. It is made from ayous wood with an oak finish. Choose from the frame options shown for your artwork and size.
Learn about floating framesIs there glass in front of the canvas?
No. The canvas and our floating frames are displayed without glass, leaving the weave visible.
Which designs can I choose?
Explore nature, flowers, animals, photography and graphic designs, among others. Choose colours and imagery that suit your room and personal taste.
Explore canvas printsCan I use my own photograph?
Yes. Upload your image on the custom photo product page and review the available formats and options. Check the preview before ordering.
Create a print from your photoHow do I choose the size?
Measure the wall and nearby furniture. Try paper templates on the wall and consult the product’s size guide. Consider the distance from which the print will be viewed.
Browse large canvas printsCan I combine several canvas prints?
Yes. Link the designs through colour or mood and try the arrangement on the floor first. Even spacing can help a gallery wall feel cohesive.
Why might colours look different on screen?
A screen emits light, while a printed canvas reflects the room’s light. Screen settings, lighting and the canvas texture all affect how colours appear.
How do I hang the canvas?
Your canvas arrives ready to hang, with sawtooth hangers already fitted to the back. Follow the instructions supplied with the artwork. Use screws, wall plugs or other fixings suitable for the wall material and the weight of the print.
How do I clean the canvas?
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster. Avoid water, cleaning products and pressing hard against the fabric.
Read our care adviceCan it hang in direct sunlight?
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight. Even light-resistant prints benefit from protection against strong sun, excessive heat and moisture.
Can I display canvas prints in a kitchen, bathroom or bedroom?
They suit many dry indoor spaces, including bedrooms and living rooms. Avoid splashes, cooking fumes, high humidity and large temperature changes.
Does a standard canvas print absorb sound?
A standard canvas print is primarily decorative and should not be treated as a tested sound absorber. Choose acoustic wall art with absorbing material for an acoustic function.
Learn about acoustic wall artHow does a canvas print differ from an oil painting?
A canvas print has an image printed on the fabric. An oil painting has a painted surface. Read the product description for details of the individual work’s technique and finish.
